Redwood Village will draw active people as it is quite well-suited for walking; many common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. On the other hand, this part of San Francisco-Oakland-Berkeley is not very amenable to bicycling as there are very few bike lanes. Thankfully, there are a limited number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. Driving is a very good transportation option in Redwood Village. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Bayshore Freeway. However, commuting by public transit is difficult in Redwood Village. Nevertheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close.
