Traveling by car is very convenient in this part of the city. Nearby highways, such as R L Thornton Freeway, are reasonably easy to drive to from any location in Cedar Crest, and it is very convenient to park. However, this area is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, property owners have access to about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. Walking in this neighborhood is not very popular, despite the fact that many day-to-day needs can be carried out without the use of a car. Cedar Crest is also not very bike-friendly since the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor, and bicycling is rendered strenuous by the often hilly area.
