North Loop is quite suitable for those who travel by foot; most daily needs are convenient to carry out on foot, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. In contrast, bicycling is occasionally challenging in this part of Austin because the terrain is not particularly flat, and the cycling infrastructure is somewhat poor. Cars are a very good transportation option in North Loop. Nearby highways, such as US Highway 290, are very easy to reach from any location in this neighborhood, and it is convenient to find a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit service in North Loop is not especially frequent. Nonetheless, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop.
