Liberty City is reasonably well-suited for those who travel by foot; many daily needs can be carried out without the use of a vehicle, and there are also a fair number of businesses nearby. The public transit system in this part of the municipality is not especially convenient. Nonetheless, residents can count on various rapid transit stations on the Metrorail. Property owners can rely on the Brownsville Station, M.L. King Station and Northside Station on the Metrorail. There are about 10 bus lines passing through the neighborhood, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. In contrast, cars are a fairly good transportation option in this part of the municipality. Nearby highways, such as Interstate 95, are reasonably easy to access from any location in Liberty City, and it is convenient to come across a place to park.
In Liberty City, locals will typically be able to access primary as well as high schools by walking. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. In terms of food, it is very easy to access both a general and a specialty grocery store on foot from any location in this area. Likewise, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a good number of choices, and property owners are served by a few cafes as well. Home buyers benefit from a good number of clothing stores within walking distance.
People who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Liberty City. Most areas in this part of Brownsville are reasonably quiet, as the streets are generally tranquil - however noise can be problematic near Interstate 95 or one of the railway lines. Finally, access to public green spaces, such as Gwen Cherry Park, is easy from the majority of locations in the neighborhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit.
